About The Position

Pet Specialists of Monterey, a BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital, is seeking a Veterinary Oncologist to join their growing emergency and specialty team in Monterey, California. This is an AAHA-accredited, state-of-the-art, 24-hour emergency and referral hospital committed to delivering advanced specialty medicine and exceptional patient care in a highly collaborative environment. The hospital offers a comprehensive in-house diagnostic and treatment suite, including a 16-slice Toshiba Aquilion CT scanner, in-house stat laboratory, rigid and flexible endoscopy, ultrasound, and digital radiography. The dedicated oncology suite features a Germfree Class II, Type B Laminar Flow Biological Safety Cabinet and Phaseal closed-system transfer devices. Additionally, the hospital has a Minimally Invasive Surgery program offering rigid laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, and arthroscopy. They are looking for a collaborative and motivated clinician who values exceptional medicine, strong referral relationships, and compassionate client communication. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, team-oriented, passionate about patient and client care, comfortable building relationships with referring veterinarians, interested in participating in CE presentations and case discussions, and enjoy working in a supportive environment.
