About The Position
Wake Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Oncologist to join their growing multidisciplinary specialty team in the expanding Raleigh area. The role involves shaping and expanding the oncology service while collaborating with an established team of specialists in a referral-focused environment. Wake Vet is a 24-hour emergency, specialty, advanced surgical, and primary care hospital that has recently expanded its facility and invested in advanced technology. The hospital offers purpose-built oncology treatment facilities, including a dedicated Oncology Suite with a hazardous drug clean room and a specialized treatment room for chemotherapy administration. Advanced imaging capabilities are available through a partnership with Dragonfly Imaging, and board-certified cardiologists are available through a partnership with CVCA. The hospital also has a dedicated 24/7 emergency and ICU team, experienced specialty technicians, and a strong regional referral network. The location in Knightdale offers convenient access to Raleigh, which is known for its high quality of life, excellent healthcare, schools, dining, and entertainment.
