About The Position

Animal Clinic Northview is seeking a Veterinary Neurologist to help build and expand their neurology service and enhance the advanced care they provide to their patients. This role is for a collaborative, skilled, and enthusiastic individual passionate about advancing neurological care. The clinic is a full-service veterinary and emergency hospital in the greater Cleveland area, established in 1977. It is an AAHA-accredited clinic with a 34-doctor, 175-staff team, known for excellence in medicine, surgery, and client service. Their recently expanded 36,000 sq. ft. facility is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiography, ultrasonography, CT with 3-D reconstruction, endoscopy, laparoscopy, specialized surgical suites, a rehabilitation center with an underwater treadmill and therapy pool, therapeutic laser, and a comprehensive in-house laboratory and pharmacy. They also feature an expanded 24-hour ICU.

Requirements

  • Experienced or residency-trained in neurology.
  • Proficient in diagnosis and management of neurological disorders, including seizures, spinal disease, neuromuscular disorders, and brain injuries.
  • Comfortable performing or interested in learning neurosurgical procedures.
  • Calm and effective in emergency neurological situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Dedicated to excellent client communication and collaborative case management.
  • Able to work independently while thriving as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

  • Board-certified candidates strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and expand the neurology service.

  • Perform or learn neurosurgical procedures, including hemilaminectomies and other decompressive surgeries.
