Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing needs
  • Strong communication and professionalism
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and positive working relationships
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management software
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to regularly lift and transport up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and move throughout the hospital during shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of veterinary inventory, medical supplies, and hospital operations
  • Veterinary Technician education or CVT/LVT credentials
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and veterinary software systems

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, unpack, and stock deliveries of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, laboratory supplies, food, office supplies, and other items.
  • Organize storage areas, rotate inventory using FEFO/FIFO practices, monitor stock levels and expiration dates.
  • Assist with inventory counts and help maintain accurate records.
  • Restock treatment areas, exam rooms, surgery, ICU, pharmacy, laboratory, and other departments.
  • Help prepare supplies for hospital staff.
  • Assist with inventory ordering, purchase orders, vendor returns, product recalls, documentation, and special inventory projects.
  • Help keep stockrooms, refrigerators, freezers, and supply areas clean, organized, and compliant with hospital protocols and manufacturer recommendations.
