Elm City Vet is seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinary Hospital Manager to lead our Primary Care team in New Haven, CT. Requirements

3+ years of leadership experience, preferably within a veterinary general practice setting.
Possesses critical thinking, operational expertise, and problem-solving skills essential to a fast-paced veterinary hospital.
3+ years in Customer Service role, preferably in veterinary general practice.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
Proven experience developing and growing teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Standard knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Programs.
Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department.
Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Nice To Haves

Certified Veterinary Practice Manager is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of the hospital, ensuring exceptional patient care, outstanding client service, and a positive, collaborative work environment.
Provides strategic and operational leadership to the hospital team while ensuring they have the resources, support, and guidance needed to deliver the highest standard of veterinary care.
Lead the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and team development.
Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning by coaching employees, providing regular feedback, and creating individualized development plans that support both personal and professional growth.
Partners closely with fellow Hospital Managers across the region to share best practices, improve workflows, and drive operational efficiencies while maintaining exceptional standards of patient care and client satisfaction.
Collaborate with the Area Director to establish and achieve operational, financial, and strategic goals that support the continued success and growth of your hospital.
