Requirements

Previous professional groomer experience required
Strong grooming skills and the ability to consistently deliver quality results
A calm, patient presence when working with pets
Excellent communication and customer service skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a veterinary team
A professional, dependable, and positive approach to your work
The ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift dogs weighing up to 50 pounds
A high school diploma or GED equivalent
A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and professional veterinary environment

Responsibilities

Provide professional grooming services based on each pet’s needs and the owner’s preferences
Shampoo, wash, dry, brush, trim, clip, or shave dogs as appropriate
Perform basic dental care, including brushing dogs’ teeth
Safely handle and calm anxious, nervous, or stressed pets
Communicate with clients to understand grooming requests and provide a welcoming experience
Maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable grooming environment
Follow company policies, safety procedures, and veterinary facility standards
Work closely with the veterinary team to support the overall health, safety, and comfort of each pet
Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude while delivering compassionate and professional care
Help create a welcoming environment for pets, pet parents, and the entire veterinary team
