About The Position

At Urgent Pet Care, we know pets are family. When emergencies happen, our team is here to provide lifesaving care and compassionate support. Our Exam Room Assistants are at the heart of that mission — a reassuring voice, a steady hand, and a continuous point of communication helping families through stressful moments. The exam room assistant is a hard worker who is self-motivated, able to multi-task, handles stress well, advocates for their patients, and is aware of the bigger picture. Under the general supervision of a Veterinarian, the exam room assistant helps decide on the best treatment plan for patients. The exam room assistant’s goal is to have a working knowledge of the receptionist position, to have competence with Avimark and Microsoft Word, and to provide an exceptional customer service experience by treating each client and patient with the upmost compassion and respect.
