About The Position
MedVet’s Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) is a paid program designed for new or recent veterinary graduates who are eager to specialize in emergency medicine. It offers immersive, one-on-one training to build confidence in emergency veterinary careers. The program combines mentored ER experience with specialty rotations, supported by a collaborative, veterinarian-owned and -led network. Upon successful completion, participants transition into a full Emergency Clinician role within a multi-specialty organization focused on advancing pet care.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of your assigned hospital
- Passionate about emergency medicine and continuous learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty familiar with your skills and professionalism
- Pass a background check and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Gain mentored ER experience
- Participate in specialty rotations (Critical Care, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery)
- Engage in didactics and utilize medical journals and textbooks via OVID
- Receive POCUS Training
