About The Position
MedVet’s Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) is a paid program designed for new or recent veterinary graduates seeking to build confidence and skills in emergency medicine. It offers immersive, one-on-one training with experienced ER doctors, combined with specialty rotations in areas like Critical Care, Radiology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery. The program also includes didactic learning, access to medical journals and textbooks, and POCUS training. Upon successful completion, participants transition into a full Emergency Clinician role within MedVet's network.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in the state of your assigned hospital
- Passionate about emergency medicine and continuous learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty familiar with your skills and professionalism
- Pass a background check and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Participate in mentored ER experience.
- Complete specialty rotations in Critical Care, Radiology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery.
- Engage in didactic learning.
- Utilize provided medical journals and textbooks.
- Undergo POCUS training.
- Transition to a full Emergency Clinician role after program completion.
