About The Position

Priority Pet Urgent Care of Clayton is seeking compassionate, experienced, and qualified support staff for their new urgent care facility, which is open 7 days a week from 4pm to 12am. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to provide high-quality veterinary medicine and service to the community. This role involves maintaining the hospital reception area, greeting clients and patients, answering questions, triaging concerns, managing calls and emails, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, and processing payments. The position requires providing emotional support to clients during difficult times, being comfortable with various medical outcomes, and withstanding unpleasant odors, noises, and potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases. Opportunities for virtual and hands-on training and continuing development are available.

Requirements

  • Customer-oriented service representative
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative
  • Able to put themselves in their customers’ shoes and advocate for them when necessary
  • Confident at troubleshooting and investigating if they don’t have enough information to resolve customer complaints
  • Ensure excellent service standards
  • Respond efficiently to customer inquiries

  • Highly organized
  • Possess computer skills
  • Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced Veterinary Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
  • Greet and welcome clients and patients
  • Answer questions and triage client concerns
  • Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
  • Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
  • Check in and check out clients
  • Process payments
  • Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients
  • Be comfortable with various medical outcomes
  • Withstand unpleasant odors and noises
  • Be prepared for potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
