When a pet owner contacts Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, they are often facing one of the most stressful moments in their pet’s life. As a Client Care Representative, you are the first connection to care—the reassuring voice that helps families feel supported, informed, and confident they’ve come to the right place. This is more than a traditional reception or call center position. You serve as an advocate for pets and their families, helping clients navigate specialty and emergency services with compassion, efficiency, and professionalism. Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is a 24/7 specialty and emergency hospital staffed by board-certified specialists across multiple disciplines. Requirements

  • A genuine passion for helping people and the pets they love
  • The ability to remain calm, empathetic, and solution-focused during emotional or high-stress situations
  • Strong active listening skills and the ability to identify client needs while providing clear guidance and support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and compassionate approach
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence navigating multiple computer systems and learning new technology quickly
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • All current positions require the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, customer service, or a related client-facing role is preferred.
  • Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for pet owners, creating a welcoming and supportive experience from the very first conversation
  • Guide clients to the appropriate specialty or emergency services based on their pet’s needs
  • Schedule consultations, coordinate admissions and discharges, and ensure a smooth client experience throughout their visit
  • Help families understand available services and care options while reducing barriers to access
  • Maintain accurate client and patient records, process payments, and support hospital operations through timely documentation
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for every client; and contribute to a culture where exceptional service, teamwork, and compassion are the standard.
