About The Position
VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center invites you to be our newest Emergency Patient Care Coordinator ! Schedule : Full-time opportunity. Day/ 1st shift, 10a - 8p. As a Patient Care Coordinator , you will play a vital role in supporting our Doctors and Technician team by ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our clients and patients. Your ability to create a welcoming, low-stress environment will be essential in delivering exceptional patient care and client service. We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing top-tier support to both clients and the veterinary team.
Requirements
- Confidence around pets
- Medical background, such as veterinary technician, human healthcare, or pharmaceutical.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing in-depth education on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Coordinate patient care services to ensure efficient workflow and continuity of care.
- Accurately enter and review charges to maintain precise billing and medical records.
- Collaborate with all hospital departments to support seamless communication and patient care.
- Manage and maintain medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence with accuracy and confidentiality.
