About The Position

The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians in providing patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital. Duties include assisting with initial examinations, restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms, sterilizing tools, ensuring equipment is working properly, communicating with pet owners, and updating patient files.

The role requires professionalism, dependability, positive communication, multitasking, compassion, and strong social and organizational skills. The position requires regular on-site attendance to support patient care, time-sensitive needs, collaboration with clinical teams, and the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff. Requirements

• Prior customer service experience.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and some weekends.
• Professionalism, dependability, positive communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
• Compassion and the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a sense of urgency.
• Regular on-site presence is required.

• Prior veterinary assistant experience is preferred.
