About The Position

The Veterinary Assistant (VA) is a key role in the hospital supporting the veterinarians and veterinary technicians in ensuring quality veterinary care for all pets. This role is an advocate for the pets we serve, educates our clients on all aspects of pet health, and ensures a safe and effective hospital and team environment. The right person for this job takes great enjoyment in putting to use their technical skills, working with clients to provide exceptional professional service, promoting Banfield’s services, maintaining proper and complete medical charts for each pet, following established protocols for client interaction and ensuring the safety of pets, clients and associates, educating clients on the value of our preventative care Optimum Wellness Plans, and mentoring other members of the team and helping others learn and grow. Responsibilities

Putting to use your technical skills, within state practice acts and as outlined in the NAVTA guidelines for veterinary assistant skills and duties.
Working with our clients to provide exceptional professional service at all times.
Promoting Banfield’s services.
Maintaining proper and complete medical charts for each pet.
Following established protocols for client interaction and ensuring the safety of pets, clients and associates in all ways and at all times.
Educating clients on the value of our preventative care Optimum Wellness Plans.
Mentoring other members of the team and helping others learn and grow.
