Veterinary Assistant
About The Position
VCA McCormick Ranch Animal Hospital and Emergency Center is seeking a full-time or part-time Veterinary Assistant to join its hybrid, AAHA-accredited animal hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Veterinary Assistant will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients. The role focuses on building pet parents’ confidence through an outstanding client experience and supporting exceptional patient care. The position is scheduled part-time, Sunday through Tuesday, at the hospital’s Scottsdale location. The listed compensation is $20–$23 per hour. Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care.
- Educate clients and support client care.
- Administer medications and support pharmacy activities.
- Collect and process laboratory samples.
- Perform diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare for and assist with surgery.
- Monitor anesthesia.
- Assist with dentistry.
- Maintain medical records.
- Help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
- Deliver an outstanding client experience to build pet parents’ confidence.
