About The Position

Ark Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians and help provide attentive care to patients and clients. The hospital is a busy, full-service animal hospital with three doctors and a supportive, professional team. The role includes work in both the back of the hospital and at the front desk. Veterinary hospital experience is preferred, but the hospital is willing to train the right candidate.

The schedule is flexible and includes rotating Saturday shifts. Responsibilities may vary according to hospital needs and the employee’s experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned duties. Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide attentive, compassionate care to patients throughout each visit or stay.
• Prepare and organize medications as directed and perform other pharmacy duties.
• Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and equipment clean, stocked, and well maintained.
• Help with reception tasks, including greeting clients, answering questions, and supporting front-desk operations.
• Provide outstanding customer service to clients.
