Requirements

Experience as a veterinary assistant.
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
Being able to handle timid or stressed patients.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Client communication and education.
Available to work Friday and Saturday shifts.
Must be able to work Monday, Friday and Saturdays and additional shifts as needed.
Dependable, compassionate, and able to multitask in a face-paced environment.
Work well as part of a team while providing excellent patient care and client service.
Must have their own transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and patient care.
Safely handle and restrain animals; husbandry, cleaning, laundry, providing patient care as directed by the veterinarian.
Handling lab samples and preparing for currier pick up.
Medical charting, maintaining accurate patient records.
Cross train as a client service representative.
Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
Able to lift 50lbs without assistance.
