Veterinary Assistant
About The Position
VCA Terrell Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support its Technician and Doctor teams. The role focuses on creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients and delivering an outstanding client experience so the hospital can provide exceptional patient care. The position is full-time, scheduled as four 10-hour shifts, with rotating weekends, and pays $18.00–$25.00 per hour based on experience. Responsibilities
- Restrain patients and assist with examinations and routine procedures.
- Take detailed medical histories and patient vital signs.
- Fill prescriptions as allowed by law.
- Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
- Maintain medical records.
- Assist doctors and technicians as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe hospital environment.
