Requirements

Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
Knowledge of veterinary procedures and animal care.
Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the latest veterinary technology and programs.
Familiarity with Low-Stress Handling, Fear Free, or AAFP Cat-Friendly certifications.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing medical care to animals.
Perform various tasks related to animal care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with treatments.
Maintain a clean and sanitary environment within the veterinary hospital.
Handle and restrain animals safely and effectively.
Educate pet owners on animal care and treatment plans.
Operate and maintain veterinary equipment.
Assist with laboratory procedures and diagnostic imaging.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
