About The Position

Walled Lake Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their team. Requirements

Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication abilities.
A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
Must be available evenings and some Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Assisting veterinarians and Technicians during patient exams, treatments, and surgeries.
Administering medications, vaccinations, and therapeutic treatments.
Performing diagnostic tests, including radiography, bloodwork, and urinalysis.
Monitoring anesthesia and providing post-operative care.
Conducting dental cleanings and using digital dental radiography.
Educating clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean, organized clinic environment.
