About The Position

Suburban Animal Clinic of Monroe is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant for its animal hospital. The role supports veterinarians and technicians with exams and treatments, patient handling, laboratory work, procedure preparation and monitoring, and maintaining a clean, safe, efficient hospital. The assistant may also help cover front-desk tasks on busy days, including phones, scheduling, and check-in.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a veterinary setting.
• Availability for 10-hour day shifts, including occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support doctors and technicians during exams and treatments.
• Handle patients safely and calmly during exams and procedures.
• Collect or process blood, fecal, and urine samples to support accurate lab results.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor them closely, and promptly report changes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient hospital ready for appointments.
• Help cover front-desk duties on busy days, including phones, scheduling, and check-in.
