About The Position

The Veterinary Assistant provides hands-on patient care and supports veterinarians and technicians to help the clinic operate smoothly. The role also contributes to a positive client experience by assisting with scheduling, payments, and communications, and helps maintain a safe, clean hospital through clinic upkeep and equipment maintenance. This is a full-time, on-site position at Seminole Trail Animal Hospital in Winter Springs, Florida. The position offers a base pay range of $18 to $21 per hour or salary, based on experience and role. Benefits eligibility varies based on role and hours worked.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology.

Responsibilities

Assist the medical team with patient care, treating animals with compassion and respect.
Anticipate and support the needs of veterinarians and technicians to promote an efficient, collaborative workflow.
Assist clients with scheduling, payments, and communications in a courteous and informative manner.
Maintain the hospital through clinic upkeep and equipment maintenance.
Support veterinary services involving laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology, as applicable.
