Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant - Solon, OH
About The Position
At AcutePet Urgent Care in Solon, Ohio, we are building a new kind of veterinary urgent care and are looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring each patient receives timely, high-quality care while creating a calm, supportive experience for the people who love them. You will support our clinical team with hands-on care, including patient restraint, sample collection, radiographs, and cleaning and prepping treatment areas. You will also help maintain medical records, assist during exams and procedures, and ensure that pets are handled safely and compassionately throughout their visit. AcutePet is founded by experienced DVMs and led by veterinary professionals committed to building an employee-centric culture where teams are supported, empowered, and heard.
Requirements
- Comfort handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and contribute to a supportive hospital culture
- Availability for evening or weekend shifts as needed
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or animal care attendant is preferred
