About The Position

Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Technician Faulkner Animal Hospital | Lancaster, SC Where Compassion Meets Community Schedule: full-time, 4 days per week, with rotating weekends Compensation: depends on experience ($15-22/hour) At Faulkner Animal Hospital, we believe exceptional veterinary care starts with an exceptional team. Requirements

• Veterinary Assistant Previous experience in a veterinary hospital preferred
• Passion for animal care and client service
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Veterinary Technician Credentialed (LVT, RVT, CVT) preferred but experienced non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply
• Proficiency with patient care, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, radiology, and surgical assistance preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Commitment to delivering high-quality medicine and exceptional client care

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with appointments, diagnostics, and treatments
• Safely restrain pets while providing compassionate patient care
• Obtain patient histories and accurately document medical records
• Prepare exam rooms and surgical suites
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes to the medical team
• Educate clients on medications, preventative care, and discharge instructions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
• Deliver an exceptional client experience with every interaction
