Epic Tails Veterinary Clinic is hiring two full-time Veterinary Technicians or Assistants. Requirements

• Experience with birds and small mammals is a bonus
• Anesthesia monitoring and administration experience is a strong plus, but training is available for motivated learners
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions
• Able to work under pressure, in new environments
• Interested in growing your skillset and learning new things
• Believes in welcoming clients into the medical process by educating, supporting, comforting, and treating them as individuals

Responsibilities

• Low-stress and fear-free restraint and handling of cats and dogs
• Lab work
• Radiograph positioning and safety
• Injections (SQ, IV, IM)
• IV catheter placement
• Medication dispensing
• Medical record maintenance
• Restraint for exams
• Supporting veterinarians during procedures and appointments
• Hospital maintenance, stocking, and cleanliness
• Client communication and education
• Conflict resolution
• Answering phones
• Taking payments
