Requirements

  • Previous Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician experience required
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) strongly preferred (South Carolina licensure)
  • Strong animal handling and restraint skills (dogs & cats)
  • Experience with phlebotomy, laboratory processes, and anesthesia support
  • Excellent communication and client education skills
  • A positive, team-first attitude with a strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) strongly preferred (South Carolina licensure)

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Safely and confidently restrain dogs and cats during procedures
  • Collect patient histories and obtain accurate vitals (TPR, weight, etc.)
  • Perform blood draws and support in-house laboratory diagnostics
  • Prepare patients for surgery and assist with anesthesia monitoring and recovery
  • Support wellness and preventive care services, including vaccines and client education
  • Educate clients on medications, post-operative care, nutrition, and overall pet health
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment environment
  • Support pharmacy, inventory, and daily hospital operations
