About The Position

Aurora Animal Clinic is a privately owned mixed animal practice dedicated to fair, honest, and high-quality medicine for clients’ pets and livestock. The clinic is seeking a self-motivated individual willing to grow and learn with the team. The role supports veterinarians in patient care, diagnostics, procedures, surgery, and emergency care, while communicating with clients and maintaining clinic equipment and records.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience.
• Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology, veterinary and dental terminology, and safe animal handling.
• Laboratory experience.
• Experience with radiology diagnostics, veterinary procedure assistance, and veterinary anesthesia monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories from clients at check-in.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, surgery, and emergency care.
• Educate clients and communicate efficiently about procedures and care instructions.
• Dispense and administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Collect and prepare samples for laboratory send-outs and in-house diagnostics.
• Perform diagnostic radiology.
• Care for hospitalized patients and recovering surgical patients.
• Handle and restrain animals safely using proper technique.
• Perform daily cleaning and routine diagnostic equipment maintenance.
• Learn to use Avimark computer software and document patient care in it.
