Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of veterinary hospital experience required
  • Hands-on experience with anesthesia monitoring is required
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with multi-parameter monitoring equipment, as well as, inhalant and injectable anesthetic agents
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-stress environment with professionalism and positivity
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in specialty or surgical veterinary medicine is strongly preferred
  • Candidates in progress toward credentialing are highly encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Assisting our board-certified surgeons and specialty team during care and surgical procedures
  • Taking patient histories, monitoring vitals, and performing patient check-in and discharge
  • Performing in-hospital laboratory procedures and preparing specimens for outside laboratories
  • Monitoring anesthesia and supporting pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Performing surgical prep including shaving, sterile scrubbing, and instrument setup
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records including treatment sheets and medication logs
  • Performing and/or assisting with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs and digital imaging
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment
  • Delivering excellent customer service and professional communication to clients and referring veterinarians
  • Supporting client education on discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up care
