BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Assistant to join their Neurology department in Monterey, CA! Pay: $21.26 - $31.45/Hr Are you a passionate assistant looking to improve your skills in the veterinary field? Are you passionate about Neurology?! Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values
- Discharge, perform call backs and refill medications
- Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician
- Perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
- Understand normal vital parameters
- Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture
- Set up intravenous fluids.
- Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.
- Restrain patients during consults and during diagnostics
