About The Position
Valley Veterinary Hospital in New Milford Connecticut is currently looking for responsible, compassionate and dedicated caretaker for our hospitalized, day care and boarding patients. Weekend shift coverage is mandatory. This is a full-time position and a great way to enter the world of veterinary medicine!
Requirements
- Weekend shift coverage is mandatory
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance (under 30 minutes is recommended)
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to work independently
Responsibilities
- Stocking supplies daily
- Laundry
- Assisting with holding pets for services including x-rays
- Cleaning and sanitizing rooms and surgical instruments
- Assisting Technicians with surgical prep
- Maintain and clean the kennels and boarding cages
- Let pets out
- Feed pets
- On occasion bathe and dry dogs
