About The Position

BluePearl in Pittsburgh, PA is looking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Anesthesiologist! We are a busy multispecialty referral hospital supporting 9 surgeons and multiple other specialties. There is a team of dedicated anesthesia techs in support of that area. The anesthesia team enjoys support of excellent equipment including ultrasound for nerve blocks, ventilators, and a multimodal approach to anesthesia.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
Board-certified or residency-trained in Veterinary Anesthesiology (ACVAA or equivalent)
Eligible for veterinary licensure in the applicable state
Expertise in anesthesia protocols, pain management, and perioperative care

Responsibilities

Designing and overseeing customized anesthetic protocols for a variety of complex cases.
Providing pain management strategies tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Proficiency in monitoring and managing anesthesia for a wide range of surgical and critical cases
Collaborating closely with our surgical, internal medicine, and emergency teams.
Training and mentoring clinicians and technicians to advance anesthesia best practices.
Enhancing patient outcomes by ensuring the highest level of anesthetic safety and monitoring.
