About The Position

Snohomish Station Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited, 100% small-animal practice serving dogs and cats in Snohomish, Washington. The hospital seeks a veterinarian who wants to provide high-quality, individualized care in a collaborative, supportive environment and build a long-term career while maintaining work-life balance. The practice has four exam rooms, surgery and radiology suites, separate cat and dog wards, digital imaging and dental equipment, ultrasound, in-house and reference laboratory support, and anesthesia and monitoring equipment. Mobile and referral specialists are available in cardiology, radiology, internal medicine, and oncology. The hospital regularly evaluates technology investments and is making updates to its physical space. The typical caseload is 10–15 patients per day, with 30-minute wellness appointments, 45-minute sick appointments when needed, and flexible drop-off options. The practice emphasizes preventive medicine, client education, continuity of care, and individualized diagnostic and treatment plans developed in partnership with pet owners. Doctors typically work with two support team members in a combination LVT/assistant model, with an additional float available when needed. The team collaborates on cases and supports continuing education and professional development. New graduates are welcome and receive individualized, hands-on mentorship, including longer appointments, one-on-one mentorship, collaborative case discussions, shadowing, individualized surgical training, real-time support from experienced doctors, regular feedback, and gradually increasing case and surgical responsibility. The Chief of Staff is a Certified Veterinary Mentor. The schedule is four days per week, typically 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a scheduled one-hour lunch during which appointments are blocked. Doctors rotate through one or two procedure shifts per week. The hospital is currently closed on Saturdays, though its hours may evolve in the future. The role offers a base salary of $130,000–$150,000 based on experience, a quarterly production bonus with no negative accrual, and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, an Employee Assistance Program, continuing education support, paid vacation and sick time, professional dues, professional liability coverage, and ongoing training and development.
