About The Position

Soundview Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its well-established small animal general practice with urgent care capabilities in Tacoma, Washington. The practice emphasizes mentorship, teamwork, effective communication, patient care, and team wellbeing. The veterinarian will see appointments and perform routine surgery with support from experienced technicians and assistants. Doctors typically see 11–15 patients per day. The hospital has four exam rooms, a surgical suite, a separate dental area, an enclosed radiology room, and a spacious treatment area. Equipment includes a companion therapeutic laser, ultrasound unit, digital radiography, Nomad dental x-ray system, Dentalaire dental machine, and cautery unit. The role may offer consideration for a future Chief of Staff position; doctors interested in leadership can access a leadership training program and work closely with the Hospital Manager.

Requirements

Veterinarian qualified to see appointments and perform routine surgery.
Full-time availability; a preferred schedule is four weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including one dedicated surgery day per week.
