Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree and eligibility for Ohio licensure
- Interest or experience in shelter medicine, surgery, or community care
- Passion for animal welfare and client communication
- Collaborative mindset and interest in teaching/mentorship
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care for shelter and community animals
- Perform spay/neuter, dental, and soft tissue surgeries
- Support population health and complex case management in a diverse shelter environment
- Teach and mentor veterinary students as adjunct faculty (clinical rotations & externships)
- Collaborate with a supportive, mission-driven medical team
- Contribute to cruelty investigations through medical documentation and expert input
