About The Position

Val Verde Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their growing team in the Greater Omaha, NE area. This position offers a growth opportunity for both new graduates and experienced veterinarians. The practice focuses on small-animal general practice, preventative care, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, diagnostic workups, senior medicine, pain management, behavioral medicine, and urgent cases. They also see a variety of pocket pets. New graduates will benefit from a structured one-year mentorship program, including a dedicated Clinical Mentor, regular meetings, goal-setting workshops, virtual learning, and soft-skill coaching. They also have access to a 5-day Surgical Mentorship Program and a 2-day Dental Wet Lab. Experienced veterinarians will have the autonomy to practice high-quality medicine with access to a Clinical Tracks Program offering complimentary RACE-approved CE. The hospital is well-equipped with on-site laboratory, radiology, ultrasound, surgical services, dentistry, laser therapy, and a fully stocked pharmacy. Val Verde emphasizes personalized care and client education, building lasting relationships with pet owners. The patient mix includes dogs, cats, and various small mammals and pocket pets.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
  • A valid state license and in good standing to practice.
  • A collaborative spirit and a dedication to practicing the highest standard of medicine.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive, friendly attitude.
