About The Position

Madera Veterinary Center in Madera, CA is a full-service, community-focused animal hospital seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinarian to join their growing team. They are passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of pets and their families through heart, teamwork, and purpose. The hospital serves dogs, cats, and occasional pocket pets, supported by an experienced and collaborative team. They have an in-house “Angel Fund” to assist pets in need of care when owners cannot afford it or when pets are relinquished. The center emphasizes work-life balance, offering no after-hours or on-call shifts, flexible scheduling options including a 4-day workweek, and the possibility to focus on wellness-only or surgery-only. The modern, well-equipped hospital includes digital X-rays, a surgical suite, dental suite, ultrasound, full in-house lab, in-house pharmacy, boarding, isolation ward, ECG, blood pressure monitor, and pulse oximeter. They welcome veterinarians at all career stages, offering structured onboarding and mentorship for new graduates, including 1:1 surgical training, longer appointment times, and consistent support. Requirements

  • Veterinarian license.

Responsibilities

  • Practice high-quality medicine with confidence.
  • Provide care for dogs, cats, and occasional pocket pets.
  • Collaborate with a team including RVTs, CVAs, and support staff.
  • Utilize in-house digital X-rays and digital dental X-rays.
  • Perform procedures in the surgical suite and dedicated dental suite.
  • Utilize ultrasound for diagnostics.
  • Conduct lab work using the full in-house IDEXX lab.
  • Manage in-house pharmacy.
  • Provide care for boarding animals and those in the isolation ward.
  • Utilize ECG, blood pressure monitor, and pulse oximeter.
  • Participate in structured onboarding and mentorship (for new graduates).
  • Engage in 1:1 surgical training, longer appointment times, and additional surgical opportunities (for new graduates).
  • Participate in ongoing development through Zoom calls, roundtable discussions, peer advisors, Slack case discussions, and networking.
