We are seeking a veterinarian who is looking for the opportunity to join a booming practice that focuses on educating clients on the highest quality care and building lifelong relationships with pets and pet owners, while being supported by a highly skilled team! Started in the 1950s and has virtually grown every year, making it into the spectacular practice you see today. Our strong support staff allows our doctor to be focused on a high level of patient care and client education. We enjoy an extremely diverse range of medical and surgical cases and are happy to support your unique clinical interests. We are seeking a new veterinarian to join our practice, following the retirement of one of our current amazing doctors. This position offers the opportunity to grow and potentially develop into a managing veterinarian role. Our experienced team can provide mentorship to new graduates, offering valuable insights from over 40 years of combined experience!

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Appropriate state licensure.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
Maintain patients’ medical records.
Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
