About The Position
Kersting Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinarian Medical Director with experience in exotic medicine, ideally avian. This role offers ownership/equity options through a unique no upfront cost program, emphasizing medical autonomy. The practice is a well-established, progressive, fast-paced, multi-doctor small animal/avian/small mammal hospital in Chesterfield, MO, providing comprehensive services including preventive care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, digital radiology (full body and dental), and vacation boarding. Located in beautiful Chesterfield, MO, the hospital offers proximity to downtown St. Louis, excellent public schools, and a vibrant community with opportunities for hiking, biking, and enjoying local attractions, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire.
- Active Veterinary State License.
- USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire.
- Proficiency in general medicine and surgery.
- Strong leadership skills and desire to mentor and lead a team.
- Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator.
- Experience in exotics (avian experience preferred).
Nice To Haves
- Avian specific experience preferred.
Responsibilities
