About The Position

Animal Emergency Hospital is a fast-paced emergency and triage practice providing critical care and life-saving treatment to our surrounding communities. The clinic is an emergency/triage practice with a high-acuity emergency and urgent care cases. They have an excellent support staff ratio with 7 experienced LVTs plus skilled CSRs. The case mix includes urgent care, emergency medicine, trauma, critical care, and surgery. The clinic utilizes advanced technology and equipment, including IDEXX digital radiology & reference laboratory, IDEXX in-house lab (ProCyte, SediVue, Catalyst, Coag), Heska Blood Gas Analyzer, Butterfly and SonoScape ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, surgical ventilator, Hot Dog and Bair Hugger/Bed Jet warming systems, electronic medical records, an isolation ward, a full surgical suite, and two Snyder oxygen units. The team culture is described as high-acuity, team-oriented, with experienced, cross-trained staff who support one another and take pride in the care they deliver.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university

Responsibilities

  • Practice high-level emergency medicine
  • Provide critical care and life-saving treatment
  • Perform urgent care, emergency medicine, trauma, critical care, and surgery
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced veterinarians, LVTs, and CSRs
  • Utilize advanced medical technology and equipment
  • Maintain excellent client relationships and provide client education
