This role is primarily focused on general practice, with the opportunity to support our urgent care services for those who want to expand their clinical experience. About the Role This position is primarily focused on general practice, including hands-on patient care, client education, surgical assistance, and supporting routine and preventative medicine. You will work closely with our veterinarians and support staff to ensure every patient receives high-quality, compassionate care. For those interested in expanding their skillset, there is also an opportunity to gain experience in our urgent care setting, assisting with more fast-paced and critical cases. This optional cross-training allows technicians to broaden their clinical abilities and gain confidence in emergency-style care while still maintaining a strong foundation in general practice. Requirements

  • 1+ years previous experience as a Veterinary Technician (general practice and/or emergency experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and radiography
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pace environment while maintaining excellent patient care
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to client education
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
  • Flexibility to support both general practice and, if desired, urgent care shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary Technician certification/license preferred
  • Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) are strongly encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including safe restraint, nursing care, and monitoring during exams and treatments
  • Assist veterinarians with routine appointments, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
  • Perform technical skills such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiography, and laboratory sample collection
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical recovery
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments with accurate medical record documentation
  • Educate clients on preventative care, treatment plans, and post-visit instructions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
