About The Position

The Vessel Assembler is responsible for the assembly, testing, inspection, and continuous improvement of pressure vessels and related products. This position requires the ability to interpret engineering drawings, follow standardized work instructions, utilize hand and power tools, perform quality inspections, and ensure products meet customer and company specifications. The assembler will work closely with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and leadership teams to maintain safety, productivity, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
  • Familiar with industrial safety environment and use of common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, welding helmet, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats (BETA will provide or reimburse).
  • Physical Requirements – using hands to handle, control or feel objects and tools, ability to read written instructions, lift and/or move materials up to 50 pounds independently, able to stand for long periods of time, able to walk, bend, and stoop.
  • Able to work in loud, non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble pressure vessels and related products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, travelers, and specifications while safely operating hand tools, power tools, impact tools, cranes, and lifting equipment using drawings, blueprints, Bills of Materials (BOMs), part numbers, and assembly instructions.
  • Build multiple vessel configurations independently while maintaining or exceeding daily production goals by cutting, trimming, filing, bending, smoothing parts.
  • Verify sizes and fitting tolerances in order to ensure proper fit and clearance of parts.
  • Install studs, fittings, hoses, and components while preventing cross-threading and assembly defects.
  • Perform vessel air testing and leak testing.
  • Complete hose reel assembly and installation.
  • Utilize proper assembly methods and best practices to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate defects and to ensure proper operation.
  • Assist in plant operations when needed and perform other duties as assigned.
