About The Position

As a Vertical Sales Specialist in Fluid Solutions, you will be assigned to a territory and responsible for driving profitable product and or assigned account revenue. In partnership with local territory Outside Sales Reps, you will coordinate large projects and act as a subject matter expert for Fluid Solutions products. You must drive the total value proposition of Fluid Solutions including the full breath of “contain transfer and treat” products and applications. United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental company, founded in 1997, with an integrated network of rental locations in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. In North America, the company operates in 49 states, every Canadian province and Puerto Rico.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 7 years sales and or sales and operations management experience in Fluid Solutions products and applications
  • Well Point Dewatering system experience where applicable
  • Knowledge of chemical compatibility/temperature and effects on rental equipment
  • Proficiency with SalesForce.com
  • Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Word, and Excel)
  • Strong sales and customer focus/service skills
  • Strong compression of business accounting principles and P&L profitability; business acumen
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the field sales team to discover projects related to sewer bypass, and dewatering
  • Utilize SalesForce.com
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and work closely with contractors bidding work
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and communicate project details to operations management
  • Assist in designing a system solutions with support from branch operations, field sales, and engineering
  • Mentor Outside Sales Reps on bypass/dewatering Fluid Solutions offerings
  • Act as a liaison between customer and operations
  • Other duties assigned as needed
