About The Position

This role is a key senior hire within this new enterprise organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience selling into health plans, including closing multi-year enterprise contracts and managing a sales number.
  • Verifiable relationships with payer economic buyers such as chief medical officers, VPs of clinical operations and network, and digital health or innovation leaders.
  • Fluency in payer economics and related terminology, including PMPM, risk adjustment, medical loss ratio, capitation, shared savings, and value-based contracting.
  • A proven track record of selling clinical credibility over features, with the judgment to identify the evidence most relevant to specific buyers.
  • Comfort selling a product in a rapidly evolving category with evolving regulations.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, as enterprise buyers require in-person engagement.
  • Based in New York City or willing to relocate.
  • This is a hybrid role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling AI, digital health, or virtual care solutions specifically to payers.
  • Prior experience working within a health plan on the buying side.
  • Familiarity with CMS models and care management programs like ACCESS, APCM, CCM, and TCM.
  • Experience with co-branded or digital front door deployments within a plan's member experience.
  • Early-stage experience, particularly as one of the first sellers in a vertical.

Responsibilities

  • Own pipeline generation and closed contract value for the health plan vertical, with a target of at least four opportunities in contracting or later at any time.
  • Build the payer narrative and buyer persona map, focusing on total cost of care, access and network adequacy, member engagement, quality measures, and performance in value-based arrangements.
  • Run the full sales cycle, collaborating with business development and marketing for sourcing, solutions engineering for scoping integrations, and the deal desk for closing.
  • Navigate payer procurement and compliance processes, including security reviews, diligence questionnaires, corporate practice of medicine considerations, and BAA and DUA negotiations.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and research team to translate clinical evidence into economic packages suitable for payers.
  • Partner with the implementation team before signature to ensure alignment between sales commitments and delivery capabilities.
  • Contribute to the enterprise product roadmap by feeding vertical requirements and pushing back against non-repeatable one-off builds.
  • Grow accounts post-launch in partnership with customer success, as expansion within a plan is prioritized over net-new logos.
