About The Position

The Vertex's Workplace Services co-op program is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate or advanced degree. If you are passionate, collaborative, and growth-minded, a co-op at Vertex will help you gain meaningful experience in our DTE functional areas and serve as a launchpad for your career. The IT Service Management (ITSM) Co-Op will work with the ITSM team to help improve how our IT services are managed. You will be involved in planning, changing, adopting, running, and continually enhancing these practices. The goal is to make sure our IT services are seamless and meet business needs and improve user satisfaction. This role is important for the success of the organization's IT operations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with members of IT, sourcing/contracts, and scientific teams
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future.
  • Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from July – December 2026

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with ServiceNow a plus
  • Process design mapping using Visio a plus
  • PowerPoint a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in project delivery of IT Software Asset Program that will improve our Service Catalog experience to request and onboard software
  • Manage the transition of new or modified RPMS (Research, Preclinical, Manufacturing and Supply chain - scientific enablement) IT software into the operational framework (ServiceNow SAM, Software Asset Management)
  • Analyze metrics to assess service performance and gauge user satisfaction
