About The Position

The Verification Analyst is responsible for obtaining necessary documentation for coders to complete accounts on hold and closely monitoring the Code Hold List to improve efficiencies. This role also involves analyzing discharged records for physician deficiencies, ensuring timely completion of these deficiencies, and managing patient portal calls and follow-ups.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years relevant experience OR Graduate of a Certified Health Information Technology Program
Registered Health Information Technology Certification. If not accredited, must be obtained within 6 months of hire date

Nice To Haves

Experience with discharge analysis and patient portal
Epic experience
Strong medical terminology

Responsibilities

Obtain the necessary documentation for the coders to compete accounts on hold
Closely monitor Code Hold List to increase efficiencies with DNFC
Analyze discharged records for physician deficiencies
Follow up on completion of deficiencies within designated time-frame
Answer patient portal calls and follow up with patients
