From weddings and galas to corporate events and festivals (ranging from 50 to 1,500 guests!), you’ll guide each lead through the sales journey with energy, strategy, and style. This is the perfect role for a driven, people-loving, organized go-getter with a knack for closing deals and making clients feel like VIPs. If you love a fast-paced, exciting environment where no two days are the same—this one’s for you. This position does work frequent evenings and weekends for appointments, but will get to enjoy Flextime scheduling and Discretionary Time Off to ensure you have a great work-life balance. Our current sales manager is transitioning into another role, so you’ll have plenty of support.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of experience in a relevant role, specifically in event sales, planning, or coordination.
  • Be a proven closer with a track record of selling, planning, and executing a high volume of events.
  • Lead with respect and inclusivity—we proudly serve clients of all backgrounds, identities, and beliefs.
  • Bring remarkable leadership skills and the ability to guide clients and teammates with confidence.
  • Be comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and other technology to stay organized and efficient.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally—both written and verbal.
  • Be highly organized, analytical, and ready to tackle challenges with creative problem-solving.
  • Have the flexibility to work frequent evenings and weekends to accommodate client needs.
  • Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle—daily travel between venues and our corporate office (just 2 miles apart) is required.
  • Be physically able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs as needed during events or tours.
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED.
  • Maintain a clean criminal background.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accounts are effectively engaged from the first inquiry to follow-up post event.
  • Respond to initial inquiries through phone, social media, email, and web submissions.
  • Qualify leads over the phone in an engaging manner.
  • Schedule qualified leads for an in-person or virtual consult.
  • Conduct winning consults, both in-person and virtually.
  • Follow-up with the lead after the consult, answering their questions and nurturing the relationship until they book or decide to book elsewhere.
  • Issue contracts and payment schedules for those who want to book, and continue to build the relationship.
  • Refer booked clients to our Event Planning Team who will continue to work with the Client through their planning process.
  • Assist with the Event Planning Team's tasks as necessary, such as completing lay-outs, timelines, vendor communication, rental orders, beverage orders, and more.
  • Work with the Administrative Division to ensure all payments and deposits are made and client billing is accounted for in a timely manner.
  • Track lead progress using our CRM tools.
  • Help grow our corporate book of business by cold calling, nurturing, and engaging corporate leads and converting them into new business.
  • Meet monthly and annual sales goals, as well as both financial and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Mitigate any conflict with a client according to our company standards, directing conflict upward to senior team members as needed.
  • Be familiar with all policies, products and services offered by our company.
  • Write new and adapt current policy language as needed.
  • Attend networking events, training, and development sessions as required.
  • Periodically work events in a managerial role, or stop in to greet clients beforehand.
  • Supervise 2-8 hourly staff members when managing an event.
