About The Position

1435 Capital Management is seeking talented, driven high school students who are interested in business, finance, entrepreneurship, technology, and venture capital for our Summer 2027 Venture Analyst Internship Program. This opportunity is designed for rising high school juniors and seniors who want hands-on exposure to venture investing while developing analytical, communication, research, and management skills. Interns will work with the 1435 Capital team in Princeton, New Jersey, and must be able to commute to the office regularly throughout the summer. 1435 Capital Management is a venture capital firm headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey. We invest in growth-stage startups and late-stage secondaries, partnering with founders and their teams to help create an impactful and lasting difference.

Requirements

  • Rising high school juniors, seniors, and rising college freshmen who are at least 16 years old.
  • A strong academic record and demonstrated interest in venture capital, finance, technology, business, or entrepreneurship.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Interest in event planning, community building, and creating thoughtful experiences for founders, investors, and peers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge with Google Workspace, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Microsoft Office tools
  • U.S.-based and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to commute to Princeton throughout the program.
  • Not accepting applicants located overseas.

Responsibilities

  • Research potential investment opportunities, including market trends, competitive landscapes, business models, and financial projections.
  • Support diligence projects, evaluate technology sectors, test products where appropriate, and track relevant industry developments.
  • Help collect and analyze portfolio-company performance data and prepare materials for the investment team, Investment Committee, and fund investors.
  • Identify and organize prospective investment opportunities through industry research, professional networks, pitch events, demo days, and other relevant channels.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing 1435 Capital events, including founder and investor gatherings, workshops, and networking events. Responsibilities may include event research, invitation and attendee list management, venue and vendor coordination, logistics, run-of-show preparation, onsite support, post-event follow up, and capturing feedback.
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, presentation preparation, data organization, and other projects that support the investment team and internship program.
