About The Position

The Vendor Sourcing Specialist is responsible for sourcing and contracting with new vendors that will provide rewards as part of our marketplace. The Vendor Sourcing Specialist will have to have a deep knowledge of B2B incentive market. This role focuses on the full vendor acquisition cycle, including sourcing, negotiating, and contracting with vendors. The Vendor Sourcing Specialist will own the relationship with vendors post launch and ensure compliance with internal teams' requirements, such as Information Security, Finance, and Legal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor sourcing, procurement, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record in successful negotiation and vendor management.
  • Understanding of the global incentive market.
  • Strong understanding of contract management and legal compliance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Source new vendors based on the Achievers’ strategic direction.
  • Establish and refine preliminary vendor requirements, ensuring vendors meet the Achievers’ compliance standards in areas such as information security, financial stability, and legal obligations.
  • Conduct initial assessments and audits of vendor capabilities.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for new vendors, leading them through the launch process.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure all necessary agreements are signed and executed promptly.
  • Own vendor relationships post-launch, maintaining ongoing communication and managing any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with Information Security, Finance, Legal, and other relevant departments to ensure that new vendors meet all internal requirements.
  • Work closely with the Vendor Onboarding Specialist to ensure a smooth vendor integration process.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure vendor products meet customer and business needs.
  • Provide feedback on market trends to inform future sourcing strategies.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the vendor sourcing process, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and vendor best practices to drive innovation and improvement.
