About The Position

The Vendor Manager III role is responsible for managing complex vendor programs, acting as a primary point of contact for internal business partners and vendor leaders. This role drives consistency, readiness, governance, health, operational effectiveness, and performance across outsourced operations. The position translates business needs into vendor strategies and operating expectations, oversees launches and workflow changes, and ensures vendor operations are scalable, compliant, and aligned with business priorities. Additionally, the role drives vendor management practices through governance, operational planning, process improvement, and risk management, including contract and compliance support, business continuity planning, and performance visibility.

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or a minimum of 8 years with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience.
  • Experience managing outsourced or large-scale operational programs with demonstrated ownership of vendor performance, governance, and readiness.
  • Excellent project and program execution skills and organizational discipline, including the ability to drive complex workstreams and guide through ambiguity with limited oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide cross-functional initiatives and manage business partners across multiple business partners and support functions.
  • Ability to analyze performance, risk, and operational data and translate findings into practical recommendations, leveraging familiarity with operational tools and systems used for workflow management and performance monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills, including the ability to navigate vendor leadership conversations and communicate effectively with managers and directors.
  • Experience with vendor governance, contract or compliance processes, business continuity planning, and operational risk management.
  • Candidates must be a current member of the Operations or Client Success organizations.
  • Candidates must have spent at least 6 months in their current role.
  • Changes in Job Profile due to reorganization/team restructure or the Sales/CS level up/auto promotion process (i.e., Account Executive to Senior Account Executive) do not affect time in role.
  • Candidates must not be on an active formal performance improvement plan (PIP) or have an active written warning on their file at the time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Own vendor performance, contractual adherence, and day-to-day business relationship health for assigned programs or functional areas, serving as the primary point of contact for internal business partners and vendor leaders.
  • Manage end-to-end execution of launches, workflow changes, and vendor enablement initiatives across complex programs and workstreams.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Finance, IT, InfoSec, WFO, Legal, and business teams to maintain excellent vendor operating models and ensure smooth execution.
  • Drive operational planning, readiness, and governance practices that support secure, compliant, and scalable vendor operations, including establishing mechanisms such as business reviews, KPI tracking, and audit readiness activities.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations across workflows, vendors, systems, and business teams, surfacing recommendations as needed.
  • Analyze performance signals, operational trends, and service needs to recommend improvements in vendor performance, efficiency, and business outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, tooling enhancements, automation, and workflow redesign, and contribute to excellent vendor strategy by supporting recommendations related to operational model improvements.
