About The Position

The purpose of this role is to understand the business requirements for the several critical and strategic categories and manage a strategic sourcing process by selecting the vendors that can best meet all technical, quality, regulatory and supply chain requirements to deliver the greatest value for the Company. This person in this role has demonstrated IT experience, and should foster key relationships with both internal leadership and external vendors; manage a team of Category Specialists, Category Managers and Sr. Category Managers to ensure that business relationships and engagements with vendors are handled according to Company’s policies, procedures and processes.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience; or a PhD with a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Demonstrates expertise across the full sourcing lifecycle, including market analysis, procurement processes, and contract negotiation
  • Possesses experience managing indirect spend categories, services and technology, with flexibility to support multiple areas
  • Exhibits exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior collaborators and global teams
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects while delivering results and driving strategic outcomes
  • Proficient in ERP systems and procurement tools
  • Candidates must have spent at least 6 months in their current role.
  • An employee must not be on an active formal performance improvement plan (PIP) or have an active written warning on their file at the time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies across multiple service areas, aligning with business needs while optimizing cost, quality, risk, and innovation
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing activities including spend analysis, market research, supplier selection, and negotiation of complex agreements with global vendors
  • Manage contract lifecycle processes, ensuring effective negotiation, compliance, and resolution of contractual issues or exceptions
  • Build and maintain collaborator & supplier relationships, influencing outcomes and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Drive operational efficiency, compliance with procurement policies, and continuous performance improvement across the supplier base
